Welcome to Batford Nursery School and Day Care

A very warm welcome to Batford Nursery School and Day Care.

We believe that this is a very special place.  We are passionate about the early years and work hard to provide a safe and stimulating environment for the children to play and learn, and to build excellent relationships with parents.

We cater for children aged from 6 weeks to 5 years:

  • Batford Nursery School is a local authority maintained nursery school offering 15 hours per week free education during school term time to ‘rising 4s’; we also have a 30 hours offer for eligible families.
  • Our day care offer (including funded early years education for qualifying 2- and 3-year olds) is provided through Batford Day Care Ltd, a company owned by the school, which is open 51 weeks per year from 7.30am to 6pm.

We never forget that our children are your children: with their boundless energy and big dreams they inspire us every day and we take very seriously our responsibility to lay the foundations for their lifelong learning journey

This website is designed to give you a flavour of who we are and the provision we offer.  Inevitably, much of the content is directed at current and prospective parents but we also aim to provide key information for other visitors to the site, including prospective employees and Ofsted inspectors!  The web pages are of course only snapshots of what we are about so, whatever your reason for visiting the site, if you cannot find the information you are looking for or have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

For information on the nursery school, please explore the School pages.

For details of day care for pre-nursery children, wraparound care for 3-4 year olds or our holiday clubs, please go to the Day Care section of this website.

I look forward to meeting you.
