Fees and funding
Free childcare
All 3 to 4-year-olds in England can get 570 free hours of childcare per year. Some 3 to 4-year-olds are eligible for 30 hours' free childcare a week.
The 15 and 30 hours offer is available only through Batford Nursery School. Please see the Batford Nursery Admissions sections for more detail about funded provision, which is term-time only. In the case of 30 hours childcare, it is the responsibility of the parent to re-confirm their eligibility for 30 hour funding each term - usual fees will apply to sessions if the code is not provided.
Funded 2s
Some 2 year olds are entitled to free early learning and childcare; the eligibility starts the school term after the child’s second birthday. Batford Day Care has a commitment to these eligible children and there are four places in each of the morning and afternoon sessions reserved for funded places.
Batford Nursery Day Care fees (3-5s)
Fees for children attending wrap around sessions in Batford Nursery School are calculated on a pay as you go term time only basis. The fee rate depends on the length and number of sessions booked (and requirements will vary depending on which session your child is allocated in the nursery school). The current fee structure is shown below:

For holiday day care sessions we offer full days (07:30 - 18:00) charged at £105.28 per day, morning sessions (07:30-12:30) charged at £51.80 per day, afternoon sessions (11:30-18:00) charged at £66.88 per day and school days (09:00 - 15:30) at £63.83 per day.

For children attending day care in the 0 – 3’s unit, fees are calculated on an annualised basis. (Note that any changes to booking patterns will result in a new annualised fee as calculated by our nursery management system.) For example:
Full day (2-year old), two days per week = £107.90 x 2 x 52 divided by 12 = £935.13 monthly charge
